Be a Volunteer at the Heritage Carousel of Des Moines.
A unique volunteer opportunity! A once in a life time experience!

We are looking for volunteers any time or day during the Heritage Carousel season to help greet people, take tokens, help with the actual operation of the carousel and also assist with the maintenance of the ride. We would love to have your help. Please contact us if you are interested in joining our group of volunteers in this unique experience.

Ryan, 12, volunteers 2 days a week.

Hours of Operation: Tuesday - Thursday 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 8 p.m.   Volunteers are important because they can help others learn about the Carousel, they help it operate more efficiently during busier times and during special events and they help it look good and operate smoothly by keeping it maintained.

The Heritage Carousel of Des Moines is a nonprofit venture. The maintenance of the beautiful wooden animals is expensive. We appreciate contributions in any amount to help us keep the carousel beautiful and to help us subsidize the rides. Please contact us if you wish to make a contribution. We appreciate your support.
