Directions to the Heritage Carousel

From I-235, take the E. 6th/Pennsylvania exit and turn north on Pennsylvania Avenue.  Continue on Pennsylvania Avenue past University Avenue until you reach Union Park.  The river is across from the park.  Take the 2nd Union Park entrance.  The Carousel is at the top of the hill.

Sept. 6th – Labor Day  Noon – 6 p.m.
Sept.  11th & 12th  Noon – 6 p.m.
Sept. 18 & 19th  Noon – 6 p.m.

Open Mondays for holidays and special events.

Open full-time Memorial Day until Des Moines Schools are in session.  Open additional weekends in May & September. 

Available April through November for rental.

Cost

50¢ for kids,  $1 for adults.
No charge for an adult to stand next to a young child.
