PRIVATE PARTIES:

Monday Only – Your choice of any time that day between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.  Cost is $100* for the first hour and $75 for every consecutive hour added.  Unlimited rides!

Other Days - Private party offered one hour before or after regular carousel hours Tuesday through Sunday.  Cost for that hour is $75*.  Unlimited rides!

*When scheduling a private party a non-refundable $25 deposit is required to hold your requested date.  The remaining fee is due on the reserved day before rides can proceed. 

TOKEN PARTY:

To be used during regular Carousel hours.          
                           Buy 100 tokens and get 25 free  OR  Buy 60 tokens and get 10 free.
                           One token per child’s ride, two per adult ride.
                           Tokens can also be purchased as gifts!
These can be purchased at the Carousel or for large quantities inquire through the web site or by phone.

Carousel Kid Card – Prepay for six kid rides and get one free. Great for very small groups or for use as a party favor!  The card can be used up all at once or saved for the next trip to the park.  At $3 a card, it makes a great “thinking of you gift!”  These can be purchased at the Carousel or for large quantities inquire by email or by phone 515-323-8200.

Sponsorship:  Individuals, organizations, businesses and corporations may sponsor free rides for the public just for fun or in connection to a special activity at the Carousel.  Sponsorship costs are $150 per hour.  The sponsoring person or organization will be recognized (unless they choose to remain anonymous) in all promotional releases, on the website, in electronic notifications and on signage at the Carousel.

Rental Rules:

1. Party guests may not be charged admission to ride the Carousel.
2. No food or drink is allowed on the Carousel.
3. Getting off of the Carousel while it is in motion is strictly prohibited.
4. The Carousel Operator has the authority to deny access to anyone deemed unfit.
5. The renter will assume responsibility and liability for the safety of their guests.

Food: The renter or an outside caterer may bring in food.

Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages may be served but the Carousel is not licensed for selling alcohol.  If alcohol is to be sold a permit is required by law.  The Heritage Carousel is not responsible for any alcohol related accidents associated with your event.

Shelter House: The shelter to the north of the Carousel may be reserved through the City of Des Moines Park and Recreation Department (237-1386) or a picnic table is located inside the carousel building which you may request to use.  There are many picnic tables located in the park near the carousel.
